Recent Best Western Trinidad Review: "We were a little apprehensive when we pulled up because from the outside, it could have been one of those motels with smokey rooms where you would definitely want to keep your socks, maybe even your shoes on until you got into bed... but we were very suprised when we entered the room, as it was very updated, smelled good, very clean, great linens, cable  TV with HBO, frig, microwave, and everything else a higher end hotel would have available. There was a small room by the pool and across from the lobby where they had a hot tub that was going, and you could see the steam rising when looking through the glass, there were a couple people in it so we didn't go. The next morning, we enjoyed the breakfast, which was very convenient because we were passing through town, and it was easy to eat and run. Good coffee with a french vanilla creamer depenser, so that made my day too. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries, muffins, cereal, fruit, but I have to be careful here because it was not necessarily high-end, but fresh and just enough to be satified. I was impressed with the waffle machine they had there too, where we could make our own waffles. There was a batter dispenser with perfectly sized paper cups on the side, so we just filled up the little cup and poured it in the waffle machine and 2 1/2 minutes later, it was done, a perfect waffle. It's obviously a family ownd and operated small business, and they were all very nice and helpful. They even gave us a voucher to a steak restaurant in town, good for two free drinks. It was a good stay all around and a great value!"
