| Due to white out snow storm on our way home to Colorado, we stopped at this hotel. Staff was absolutely the best we have every encountered - friendly, helpful, cheerful...wonderful! Our room was extremely clean and spacious, pool and hot tub were clean and nice, and laundry facilities were very clean and in perfect working order. Full, hot breakfasts were wonderful and free! These people had MANY guests due to the storm and took care of everyone beautifully. The owner of the hotel even drove up Raton Pass as far as he could so he could come back and report the road conditions to all of us who were stranded on our way to Colorado. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to or traveling through Raton, NM. |

| So we stayed at this hotel as our waypoint on our trip back to Colorado from Texas. We checking in and our great experience started from the first person we interacted with. After a long day of driving being met by such a great smile and a friendly welcome was perfect. The rooms are in great shape and roomy enough that our son was able to sleep on his air mattress so he didn't have to share a bed.
Because of our late arrival we didn't get to use much more of the hotel, but the pool area looked great. The next morning the breakfast was a warm self-serve style breakfast that is ran by a very friendly mother and daughter team. All the food was good and kept fresh. We were welcomes with a great southern accent saying good morning and wish a great day on our way out.
The hotel is a great place to stop, clean, comfortable beds, nice new TVs, and the most important part is the amazing staff. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly, helpful and smiling!! Any time we are heading south and need a place to stay we will look this place up! |

| We were delightfully surprised. Staff was very helpful. Complimentary evening snacks were provided (soup, cut veggies, and cookies w/ milk sufficed as a light dinner). The breakfast was well stocked and fresh. This HI Express believes its a 4 star hotel. I'll stay again. |

| Hotel was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The room was very comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast buffet variety was good as well. Would definitely stay again! |

| this was the best of the three Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in. We were tired from travelling in car for 9 days, so were so appreciative of the great room and friendly heloful staff. And were we surprised that in the evening we were treated to sandwiches, drinks, great cookies, and other desserts. I would love to return! |

| Friendly staff, especially in the dining area. Served soup, etc., in the evening and great breakfast (bacon, eggs, pancakes, cereal, etc) in the morning. Very comfy pillows and linens on bed. Flat screen TV. Great fitness area. Very nice and comfortable patios. Even a putting green. Quiet and the only Holiday Express I have found to accept small pet (Small extra fee). |

| Great place to break our trip from Texas to Colorado.
The staff is friendly , helpful and relaxed. The kitchen, which stays open until 8PM and serves complimentary fruit, cheese, wrapped sandwiches, soup etc., is most welcome when you are exhausted from driving out of Texas. (not a small stare). Breakfast is great and the beds are delightfully comfortable!
My 2 minor problems; finding the entrance and the swimming pool. The turn off from the main highway is tricky, you can easily go right past the entrance , and the pool chemicals need adjustment. It is too cloudy. I decided not to use it.
Again, these are minor complaints and after staying there on our way to Colorado, we decided to stay there on our way back as well. |
