| I didn't think it was the worst thing ever, but my friend that was with me expected to find a body in the ice machine. The manager who checked me in specifically told me not to go in the "back" entrance of the room. I had NO IDEA which was "the back entrance" & vice versa so naturally we checked for some clear indication. And found it in the form of a dank dark hallway that ended with an extremely old exercise bike at the end, you know the kind that generates wind when you petal. At the other end of the hall there was merely a sticky stinky trail. All & all besides it being a bit out of the way it was adventurous to say the least. Really who books the Knights Inn & expects luxury. Also don't be surprised if the person who checks you in is visibly disappointed when they discover you aren't a new guest who has happened upon their establishment but instead are a reservation. I think we were 1 of maybe 4 guests total that night & the capacity must have been over 50 rooms. |

| My kids and I were visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park and our route took us through Walsenburg, Colorado. We booked this room despite some negative reviews since it was half the price of others in the area. I was pleasantly surprised. The only negative comment I have is the door to our room stuck a little bit-- we had to slam it to get it closed. The room was very clean, and surprisingly spacious. My kids (12 and 8) were able to spread out and play board games and there was still plenty of space. We had a microwave and refrigerator, which was a nice surprise. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. Given the choice of hotels in the area, I would definitely stay here again. It's not the Marriott or Embassy Suites, but Walsenburg doesn't have anything approaching that level of service. |

| The hotel was just outside town which was ok. It was clean but old and looked run down. There is no internet service and the pool had been drained. The water pressure was weak and it took awhile for the water to warm up. It lacked plug ins and things were just plugged in wherever. Some of the lights and clock was not plugged in and I had to do it all myself. As for the breakfast it was ok but the room where it was at served also as a storage room for discarded things that had been with the hotel. Would I take my family here?? No Way!! Only reason why I stayed here was I was by myself and on a budget, but it was very close to where I draw the line of where I will stay. |
